Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how LinkUp ("we", "our", or "the Application") handles your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your data remains secure and private.

1. Data Minimization and Privacy by Design

LinkUp is a decentralized, serverless native utility for macOS. It does not upload, collect, or store any of your personal information, DJ library data, music files, or login credentials on third-party servers. All operations are processed entirely locally on your device.

2. Google Drive API Integration

LinkUp allows you to package and synchronize your Rekordbox playlists directly to your personal Google Drive account.

  • OAuth Authorization: The login process uses Google's secure OAuth 2.0 system. The application receives and stores authentication tokens locally in the secure macOS user defaults suite on your machine. We never have access to your Google account password.
  • Scopes Used: We request access using the limited https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file scope. This is a highly secure scope that permits the Application to view, write, and manage only the specific files and folders that LinkUp itself has created (such as LinkUp_*.zip archives inside the `LinkUp` folder). The Application cannot access, read, or modify any other files stored on your Google Drive.
  • Direct Transfer: All file uploads and downloads are performed via secure direct connection between your device and Google API servers. No intermediate servers are used.

3. WebDAV, FTP, and Local Storage

For storage options such as WebDAV, FTP, SFTP, and local disks:

  • All login credentials (usernames, passwords, and server URLs) are stored strictly locally on your machine using the secure shared preferences suite.
  • Files are uploaded directly to the destination servers specified by the user. We have absolutely no access to these servers or any data transmitted to them.

4. Analytics and Crash Reports

The Application does not include any background analytics, user tracking, or telemetries. We do not track how you use the app, when you package playlists, or any other usage metrics.

5. Security

We employ industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/SFTP) for all transit operations. Since all data is stored locally on your device or in your personal cloud accounts, the security of your playlist archives ultimately depends on the security of your device and the third-party services you connect.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
